scare to take perdisone

Can someone help me I wake up with my hands stiff in the moring it takes about 5 minutes for my hand to be more flexable, I told my doctor and he refer me to a RA Dr.well that Dr has gave me 3 blood in one year and I still keep coming back that I dont have RA ,but she feel that I' m early stage of RA and that why it not showing in my blood, she's try celebrex but I had a servere side adfiix, so she put me on naproxin and it gave me servere acid reflex so I had to stop that,so now she want me to take predisone for two week to see if that work and if it work, that would confrim that I have RA, the way she want me to take the predisone is like this 20 mg for 2 day 15 for 4 days 10 for 3 days Theb 5 for 1 day and stop. The problem is that I've heard so many bad thing about this medicine that Iam scare to take it. Has anyone ever had a neg test for RA and their Dr has use.this salution to determind if you have RA.and can anyone tell me how a short term use of perdisone can affect my body.One of the reason she feel is RA is that my duaghter suffer from juvenile RA.

I agree with BadDay. I have been on a short regiment and also on long term. On the short term with tapering from 60 to 0 in about 1 1/2 months I had little or no side effects. Long term has much, much worse side effects for some. Weight gain, ( alot ) moon face, camel back and terrible mood swings. I've said that once I'm off of this - I take 2mgs a day now, after 4 1/2 years - that I will never, ever go on a long term dosage again.

Did you try the Prednisone, mari mari? I was on it for about 3 weeks, and it drove my blood pressure through the roof. Yes, it helped the inflammation, but I was one of the people who it affected negatively.
