Feeling kind of rough.....

Been a rough week so far for me.   I have right side shoulder/neck pain.... ugh I am trying to tough it out without calling my rheumy.  I have degenerative joint and herniated discs in my neck and I sure hope that is not what is causing this pain.   Anyone else with any advice on how to help it before I call my dr?   Sometimes you can get advice on here and make it through the "spell" as my husband and I call it...lol    I have been sleeping on the heat pad at night and trying to watch what i do but it just doesn't seem to be getting better..... I hate to sound like a whinner... sorry I know that some of you have it alot worse than I do. 

 Thanks for any advice.

Don't be sorry...everyone's feelings are important and no one person desires more whinning rights because their sickness is worse. Everyone deals with pain differently. Some people can tolerate more pain than others. I hope you get feeling better SOON!! (((HUGS)))

Peggy I'm so sorry you are in such pain! I have a little of the same kind of pain you have had the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately other than the heating pad nothing else has really helped. I was told to do some stretching exercises so maybe that might help? It didn't really help me but you never know.

I sure hope you can get some relief soon. It really isn't any fun cry

thank you all so much... pain is a little better today. Was alot better when I first woke up but of course now it is coming back. Ohh well the life of an RA patient I guess...lol You are all such great folks and i appreciate you all very much.

I am sorry that I do not have your answer. But I do want to say I hope you get it figured out. If it gets to bad call your rhuemy, I mean after all isnt that what they are for??

Hey thanks for the post... I think I have just figured out why it has been hurting. I had strep throat week before last... guess what it has come back again. Dr. says that is probably why it has been hurting. ughhh here I go again.

sorry to hear that you have strep throat again, but at least you know what is causing the pain...and can take steps to heal. Good luck and I hope you are feeling well soon.

The stretching does usually help me. Actually since I had the nerve burnt on the right side of my neck as long as I do the exercises they taught me in PT I don't have as much problems as I did.

Don't feel shy about calling the rheumy when you think you need to and don't feel like you are whinning. We all have our limits of tolerance and just need help at some point.

I hope you get over the strep soon.

thank you all so much. I had a pretty rough weekend. This strep is taking all of my energy. Stayed in bed most of the day yesterday... sleeping hard I might add. Will just be glad when its all over.
