Flaring even with prednisone

I got the steroid injection ovet a week ago and put on oral prednisone, even with I've had probably one of my worst weeks ever!! Left shoulder and now I cannot even move my left wrist. I'm new to this,anyone know how u can tell how far advanced the RA is??

Hi Sorry to hear that ive had a few steroid injections into my shoulder and some helped and others didn't guess it just depends on the flare, there are tests whole body bone scan being one of them that shows RA or more inflammation -hot spots, but really its all how you feel

how much prednisone are you on sometimes it takes a while to 'kick in' and I guess how long have you had RA

i'm currently (hopefully) coming off a bad flare and my right arm is still not good sometimes over the years ive had a flare and say a foot or hand has been bad then it gets better but then other times it never dose and stays like that but this again depends on the person

call your local Doctor tell them its unchanged maby you need a bit more prednisone right now

And dosage is everything with prednisone-how much are you on and what else are you taking? That really matters.

Hi sjkly, I'm currently on 20 mgs of prednisone started off with 60 mgs. I was just officially diagnosed with ra about 2 weeks ago, but have had symptoms for about a year. I see a ra doc aug 6 th, so as of now im on just prednisone with no relief
