Aloe Vera and RA - anyone tried it

Hi,

I wonder if anybody has tried Aloe Vera and had success from it?  I have done a lot of research into RA as my daughter was diagnosed recently.  She has found that food elimination works very well but she lost a lot of weight.  Next things to try will be cod liver oil which I  have read good reports about, and aloe vera.

I will be grateful to hear from anybody who uses Aloe Vera.

Thanks for your message. I mean swallowed. I keep seeing adverts for it and just wondered. I will get some for my daughter and let you know if it works. According to the book I have read on cod liver oil, it is best to be taken with freshly squeezed orange juice (see Dale Alexander's book).

You do seem to have a lot of other problems - have you tried altering your diet or being tested for food intolerances? When I have been researching RA I have also found references to asthma/diabetes and diet.

My daughter is 34 and was diagnosed after having her first baby just over 3 years ago.  She has been up and down since then but had the best result after visiting a naturopath and being told of certain food intolerances and given probiotics.  If you google Aloe Vera and Cod Liver Oil you will find information and on Amazon you can find books on these subjects.  Margaret Hills cured herself of RA and OA by taking Apple Cider Vinegar and eliminating some foods.  Another book by a rheumatologist, Dr. Gail Darlington, gives details of elimination diets.  There is definitely something in these recommendations.  Acidic foods cause my daughter to have flares, red meat, tomatoes and cheese are worst.  A naturopath can test for acidity in your body.  Some people suffer from migraines and food is usually the trigger - my daughter suffers from migraines and cheese/chocolate/red wine are the triggers.  If some foods can trigger migraines it is possible it can cause other conditions.  Google LEAKY GUT and RA too.

Dr. Giraud Campbell wrote a book called "Arthritis".
Arthritis cured in a natural way.
The midlle joint of my ringfinger and same toe on the same foot were swollen and very painful.
My doctor wanted to give me cortisone and painkillers.
I thanked him dearly and went out with my pain.
Surching about arthritis brought me to Dr. Campbell.
When I started to read his book there was one sentance which opened my eyes: "Arthritis you get from the dirt which your body can't manage has to be stored. It will be stored on your joints they got inflammated and yes you have arthritis.
After I started the diet and taking the vitamines for my bones: seven days later the pain and swollen were gone.
I did this treatment for around 5 months. This is already 20 years ago.
Since than I never had arthritis again althoose I don't eat healthy.
As long as my body can manage the dirt (chemicals) in my food there is no problem.
If I buy some food I always look at the backside surching for chemicals.
If there are too many "E"s (E's are the European allowed chemicals) inside I DON'T BUY.
By the book of Dr. Campbell I cured already two people (who want to go for it).
If I'am telling people they can't smoke, drink, eating pizza, hamburger and any kind of food made in a factory they say: this is nothing for me.
Give your daughter only FRESH FOOD plus 3 vitamines for her bones: beeryeist, molasses and fishoil (omega3).
Nothing out of a can, box, glass..... Nothng that is made in a FACTORY. I do undestand that this is not easy but if I think about the pain I had, my decision was made quickly.
In one word read the book of dr. Campbell.

I have tried applying the "sticky stuff " directly from a leave to my joints. Unfortunately, I saw no pain relief :(
