RA mixed with health issues & family planning

This is my first post. I tried to see if anyone posted anything like this but didn't see anything.

I am 30 years old and my husband and I have been trying to have a baby. Last year, I was on Humira for my RA. I was told that because we are trying that my medication options were limited. The Humira vs. Plaquenil. I did Humira for a year and when my doctor got relocated my new dr pushed for me to be on Plaquenil instead because of the side effects of Humira. When i was on the Humira, i felt the best i'd felt in years. I have been on Plaquenil now for about 7 months, transitioning out of the Humira. The first couple of months on the Plaquenil were great. I wasn't sure if it was the medication or if it was the lingering effects of the Humira. The last few months i've experienced numerous health issues on top of the RA. Since June, I've had several back issues; muscle pain/tenderness that spread throughout my whole body for a week; an ulcer flare up that i haven't had issues with in 6 yrs; and most recently, a lung infection (inflamed lining in my lung). When i went to urgent care for my lung, the dr said it was most likely because of my RA that caused this. Now i'm worried that the Plaquenil may be the cause of all these issues or that i may be developing other heath issues due to the illness. I've had a lot of muscle pain/tenderness as well these last few weeks (like sore muscles type of feeling) and i've often wondered if maybe Fibromyalgia is the reason.

Has anyone else developed other illness/disease from RA? Has anyone else had difficulties getting pregnant while battling RA? I've read that some women actually have less symptoms once pregnant, is that true?

I posted on the other posts as well, but will repeat: get yourself another doctor as the new one you've got is not working with you, a good doctor will help you and not push a medication on you that you know will not help, maybe try slowly to tapper off the plaquenil. Hope you can get another doctor that will be more open minded and listen to you... I do know you do not want to try any pain medications while trying to get pregnant, maybe see if a moist heating pad can help if you think you have fibro...
Many well wishes and I hope you will get pregnant...Some women do have there RA go away (Remission) with being pregnant...
