If you are interested in natural remedies I'd get to a naturalpath if you can afford it.
I went on a fast to detox for two weeks and then we slowly started reintroducing foods to my diet. I had no issues with many of the traditional foods tomatoes, potato's etc. I did however find that milk does not agree with me but it also didn't have any effect either way on my disease. I don't drink it or eat dairy products however.
I take Tumeric and curcumin as well as bromelaine daily. All have been found to have anti inflammation properties and bromelaine has been shown to have positive GI effects. A good quality probiotic could be usefull as well. My Doctor explained to me that in some cases increased harmful GI microbes have been found in people suffering with RA as well as inflammation in the gut. Many times these subside however with the progression of the disease. In addition I take D3 4000 cu as well as B-12 daily.
All said this still does not keep my disease under control but I do feel it has positive effects on my energy levels and inflammation. I agree with sayyadina in the idea of a holistic approach just makes sense. Especially in light of the fact that there is no cure for this disease, treatment should be as broad and encompassing as possible.
I wish you luck, diet is one of the easiest and probably most cost effective ways we can remedy problems but for me it has had little overall effectiveness.
