Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with fibro and RA. My dr put me on gabapentin for the fibro and Plaquinal for RA.. I have been on the gaba for several months and no issues. However I have been on Plaquinal since the middle of January and last week my back under my bra strap starting hurting and it wraps around to the front of my stomach. I did have the flu a few weeks ago and was coughing and my back hurt but I thought it was feeling better. Has anyone had any issues with that from the meds or could it be just the fibro and RA? Thanks!

Look and see if you have a rash or any blebs forming on the skin. The wrap around pain also could be the start of shingles. If you see anything on the skin start to develop, get to your doc right away for prescriptions to reduce the virus and for pain control.

The dr said that it is all related to the fibro :( I guess I will be finding new aches and pains..

I'm sorry you're hurting and about the fibro. I hope you find a way to manage the new aches and pains.

Curl up a moist heating pad and that should help some, when I get chest pain from fibro the moist heat pad helps along with trying to relax but that's easier said then done...
Make sure your eye doctor knows your on the plaqeunil...very important ...
