Hi Well I sort of have good/bad news
Good News is - I knew I was Right
Bad News is - probably got Multiple sclerosis
Good News is - they found Legion & Swelling on Brain on that MRI
Bad News is - they found Legion & Swelling on Brain on that MRI
More Blood Tests then depending on the outcome a Lumbar Puncture / spinal tap

Know what I feel relieved - well not looking forward to the Lumbar Puncture nono

Oh dear...I'm so sorry to hear you have yet another cross to bear. I kinda know what you mean when you say you feel relieved though. As you said you already knew yourself and now that it has been confirmed you can start working on accepting the news and planning how you will accommodate it in your life.

I hope that you get the proper treatment and that things start to settle down for you soon. Keep on keeping on. X Neenaa

Awe, so very sorry about your results so far and I hope you can catch a break soon...

Sure hope the bloodwork gives them the clues they need so you do not need a lumbar puncture...It is horrible to get a lumbar puncture, I had one back in August and required 2 blood patches after it...and for me it was still in-conclusive as I was on methotrexate. You will need to tell them your on methotrexate as you need to be methotrexate free for 6 months before a lumbar puncture, believe me a person that's already been through it....I got mixed up results from my lumbar puncture...Make sure your neuro knows your on methotrexate if he recommends the lumbar puncture as you do not what to repeat it becasue of mixed up results like mine...
Also, make sure you have a nebulizer order after the lumbar puncture if you have asthma...it saved me tons by having the nebulizer orders as I went immediately into an asthma flair in recovery after the puncture...for weird reasons I cannot lie flat without coughing and coughing...

oh Chartreux Yuck, did you have lumbar puncture done for a Rheumatoid related issue ? if so maybe the MTX would interfere with it some way ?
he knows im on methotrexate but i'll remind him,
the Asthma idea is Good as I do have issues there.
I'm also hoping not to need it he did say depends on what the blood test shows
one part of me Definitely Dose Not want it But then another part says Yes get it over with and get a Dam answer.
it certainly would explain all the additional issues that are not RA related or them trying to say I have 3 & 4 Different illnesses ,
I have Googled as much as I can find on Multiple sclerosis and it is like Reading my personal Diary out of 12 symptoms i tick 11.
even down to this all starting as a bi-product of glandular fever years ago. (there is investigations into relationship of MS to Epstein Barr (glandular fever))
but what ever it turns out I want to know what those things he saw on my brain scan were anyway so guess im on a one way track right now..

he thinks I was misdiagnosed and the Fibromyalgia & chronic fatigue is actually part of the MS

thanks I agree I am at stage I don't care i just want to know what it is.
as over the years its always been " you have a weird Rheumatoid - or you have this and that with it " and I always felt it wasn't typical of RA even talking with you guys my(RA) acts differently
I suggested MS about 8 -10 yrs. ago but the specialist I went to brushed it off
But this guy is Very approachable and he's promised he'll keep looking till he sorts it out so I go back on Thursday for Blood test results and take it from there
Guess I'll have to change my Diagnosis section if they do figure it out :-)

Finger's crossed for you, please keep us posted about your blood results and remember to let him know your on mtx before getting a lumbar puncture...hope you'll not need that...

I think I've killed a leprechaun or something I have my apt with neurologist today and yesterday we got evicted from our house the landlord wants to move in here herself so got 3 weeks to find something - seriously I Give UP

Well been to Neurologist and he wants me to get the Lumbar puncture its done at local hospital so I wait now for appointment date sad nono

Poor poor you BadDay.

This is not a good time for you at all. I'm really sorry you have to move house now with all that other stuff going on. Moving is stressful and very hard on a body. I know it won't be possible to avoid a lot of the hard work ahead of you but should really, really try to take time out and rest when you can.

The lumbar puncture will be a challenge I know but hopefully you will get a clear picture of what you now require medically.

If you find yourself overwhelmed remember to rely on those closest to you for some borrowed strength. You can always pay it back when things come right for you again. We all are here for you. Use us! I for one treasure any chance to be useful these days.
