Hello Everyone!

 

While I was surfing arthritis resources last night, I came across HW.  I managed to view some of the links and for a brief time I was in the main chat room.

 

For a quick intro about myself....I'm a 32yr (but been feeling like about 150) female, who was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis just before my 17th birthday.  Presently I am living in northwestern Ontario, about a 4 hour drive east of Thunder Bay, where my Rheumy is located.

 

I am in a flare up at the moment so I may come and go from day to day or day to week, but I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.  I take one day at a time, with hopes that one day soon I'll wake up and will be able to face a day without a struggle and pain.  yeah One day when my RA goes into remission again I'll be able to do what this smiley is doing yeah ...lol

Hello Izzie,

Welcome to HW. If you have been in chat and read the boards, you know we understand your pain.

There  is a wealth of knowledge in the minds of Healing Well, and the folks here are always willing to share what works for them.

wow..what a commute, that must be exhausting, i can imagine. the good thin about living in the tri state area is that there is a doctor or specialist for like evry 2 blocks! everything is always a few minutes away. even to get to NYC from my house is only 15 minutes.
i am happy you found HW! we are all happy to have you. you will find a lot of compassion and understanding here. it is a place to toss around ideas, talk and share experiences. it's great.

Welcome Izzy! I am sorry to hear how you are feeling....sadly, we all understand your position. I hope you find HW as special of a place as I have.

Hi Izzy, just wanted to pop in here and also welcome you to HW. It is nice to have another member from Ontario. I am about 1 hour south-west of Toronto. Just got back from vacation up north of Orillia and getting caught up on all the posts that were written while I was away. Hope you keep joining us here for discussions.

Hello Izzy I'm very new to HW, also. These people are a real wealth of knowledge and make you feel like your not alone dealing with this. Nobody can really understand unless they have been there. Welcome!!

Izzie, just wondered how you are doing? Hope you are able to :-) today.

I have several friend that live in your area, and can not wait untill I can visit. yeah The pics they have sent are just beautiful. Are you any where near the cat ferry? it just blows me away, that you can get on a boat in New York and in about 5 hours, be in another country. At least that is what my friend in NY told me, have never been there.
