Pain Free With Humira

Taking Humira for a month (2 Injections) with my daily Leflunimide.
Have not taken any pain medicine for three weeks. No swelling
or pain now. Life is getting normal and even sleep better.
Friend informed me that he knew someone who took it for for five years
but is not taking it now.
Realize that each of us have different relief with medicines.
Is it possible that that person's normal immune system kicked in ?
Has anyone had long term experience with Humira.
So far am enjoying and grateful for this ride am now on now.

I have not been on Humira but have been on enbrel, cimza and orencia...they all worked good for me for a year except the orencia.... didnt quite make it to a year with it before it quit working.... I am glad to hear that this is working for you and you are doing much better..... and like you said enjoy the ride! Hugs to ya

Hi Haappy,

I have been on Humira for about 6 years now, just quit 2-2014. I think it did work for me in the 2-4 years after that not to good. Hope everything works out for you and just stay active don't over do it. Vickie

Hi Haapy,

Yes I have a friend whos been on humira for over10 years and feels fantastic still. So you may be one of the lucky ones.

My advice is to take every good day like a gift.

I was also responding well to humira when I got the flu which turned into double pneumonia which meant I had to come off humira for a month while I was fighting the infections which put me in a very swollen state and over a year to get my joints back under control...

So slightest cough or flu go to the doctor immediately.

I am back on humira but it doesn't work as well as it once did. Don't know why but its still the best med I've taken and I feel very happy to be on it.
