Before I started MTX I was just recovering from an earache. Now the other ear is hurting and swollen.

Is there any danger in letting it heal naturally.

It sounds like it could be an ear infection that has spread. I'd call the rheumy and see if they want you to stop the MTX until you get your ears cleared up.

I put a hot pad on my ear last night and it felt somewhat better today. My next dose is on Wednesday. I will call rheumy tomorrow.
