I started on low dose BP medication last summer. My Endo put me on it since my last 3 BP tests were 138/70, 139/74 and 140/79. I am usually 106 - 112/76 - 80 when I am at home. I think it's the "white coat syndrome" when I'm at my Endos but anyways, I've had Type 1(Juvenile Diabetes)since age 3, so they feel it is safer for my heart and kidneys to be on a BP med. Moderate and severe RA are closely related to Type 1 Diabetes as the complications are similar plus they are both auto-immune diseases.
Depends how often your blood pressure is high, of course.
