RA and jaw pain?

Never had jaw problems in the past. Was diagnosed with RA about a year ago. Haven't been on methotrexate for a few months due to high liver counts.

Since being off methotrexate I have been having intermintent but increasingly frequent jaw pain on the left side. There is appearantly swelling/inflammation that accompanies the pain as my bite is out of alignment.

Anyone else have/experience this with RA? Mentioned it to my dr last time I was in and he seems to think its unrelated to the RA. I'm on prednisone right now due to a flare up but doesn't seem to be doing anything for my jaw. Should be starting humara in a week or so.

Side note should the humara injections be easier on my liver???

I started with humira and it worked great for years. When it started to fail I switched to enbril. I didn't have to get labs to check for liver issues until I added back the methotrexate, so assumption is that it will be easier on your liver. I also have occasional jaw pain when stressed and I have been told by Dr and dentist it is RA related. I bet it goes away when you get going on humira. Good luck and keep us posted.
