dosage of Diclofenac and Omeprazole

My mom got Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Which is a better regimen to start her on?

Diclofenac 50mg + Omeprazole 10mg / twice per day

or

Diclofenac 50mg + Omeprazole 20mg / twice per day

Please share your experience with me thanks.

Hi Jason and welcome to HW. I have never heard of dyclofenac. Perhaps others here have. Is your mom seeing a rheumatologist, and is that the suggests meds? The omeprazol is to control acid reflux and the standard is 40 mg daily. I think most people with RA receive plaquenil to begin with and perhaps methotrexate. With more information about your mom's dx, you may get more replies from people who have similar experiences.

Thank you celebrate life for your info about omeprazol, and for your kind concern.

I will be taking my mom to the doctor's in 3 weeks time, by then I will be asking for more details.

But still I want to find out more. I don't want to go there with an empty mind.

Hi Jason, tell me more about your mom's RA and perhaps we canhelp educate you about different meds. How did your mom get a dx of RA? Did she have a positive blood panel? Did she get any xrays? Did she have a sedrate done? Is she on any meds? What are her symptoms? Unfortunately RA can range from flares that are annoying to severe that can encompass total body and horrible joint deformation, so any answers to any of these questions will help you in deciding what is best treatment.
