Can someone please help me with my nails. I will start Enbrel tomorrow for RA but my nails are to the point if I file them any more it will be painful. They peel and split and are very thin. I've takin every vitamin known! I have horizontal ridges at the cutials that I've never had. I don't know what's going on. Will enbrel help with this?

Hi. I know what you mean. My nails and hair went from bad to worse. I was on methotrexate coupled with a few different Biologics which didn't work for me. Then I found a biologic that did work and was eventually able to drop Methotrexate. about a month after that my nails and hair improved and are now nearly back to normal.

My nails were giving me trouble for a long time. I take biotin and folic acid in as high as I can take them. The horizontal lines are said to be signs of possible heart issues.

I've tried enbrel and never been on a drug like this, do you guys think it will help or should I seek other options for the nails? The biotin don't help at all for me. I've seriously tried every otc vitamin. I decided not to try some meds due to side effects. Enbrel seems to have the least. 😁

I've been researching this and found some references to possible hypothyroidism or anemia.

Mine have started this also. Is it called pitting? They are cracking, splitting and are very thin.

Hi, I take a supplement called Biosil and it takes a few months and hair and nails better than ever. I buy the drops and put in anything your drinking.
