I'm having issues with my wrist hurting and my hands falling asleep for hours at a time.
Nothing seems to wake them up.
Is this RA related?

I had carpal tunnel caused by RA that caused my fingers to tingle and pain in wrist. Left hand only. Had surgery and no more issues, even after I fell and broke my wrist badly!
Would recommend orthopedic doc.

I had the EMG today for the tingling wrists and hands falling asleep etc. Yep, it's carpal tunnel due to RA and I get to wear wrist braces at night for 4 weeks and follow up. Had cervical epidural for the nerve pain down my arms caused by DDD @C5-C7 six weeks ago. Helped with the arms, now the wrists are flaring with more tingling etc. I take 100 mg of Lyrica a day. Can.only suggest you have.a spine and joint group of neurosurgeons evaluate you. I am not a candidate for surgery due to other issues, and mine is only moderate. I will have cortisone shots in wrists first. Also physical therapy exercises to stretch the tendons and muscles does seem.to help a bit. Home it just goes away by itself! also if you sleep.on your arm that can cause the tingling etc, I have a whole system of pillows to keep me on my back, and that does help. Hang in there.

I'm not a fan of EMG testing because I fear needles, but I see the rheumatologist on the 19th and I'll tell him what's happening.
