new to Enbrel, have muscle pain in right shoulder

Hey guys. After Humara stopped working for me (had the worse flare up, every joint involved and had to have two courses of prednisone just to be able to function) my RA DR switched me to Enbrel. I've had RA for 2 years, can't take mtx due to live toxicity.

I've had three doses so far and have been feeling great. Only issue I've had is that the other day I woke up and the muscles in and around my left shoulder were killing me. I figured I slept weird and took some advil which dulled the pain pretty good. Once it wore off it was back to being very bad and actually woke me up the next night. Ive been hitting the advil every 6 hours since.

Heat helps a little for a short time and it does not seem to be positional. Some times I feel my muscles relax and then tense back up like spasms.

I've read some stuff online about muscle spasms associated with Enbrel but figured you can find strong pros and cons about EVERYTHING on the internet.

Figured I'd ask here if anyone has experienced this with Enbrel and if so does it go away the longer you are on it or is there something I can do to aleviate this?

I am on Enbril and have had a number of issues with my shoulder, all unrelated to Enbril, some related to RA. Just had a cortisone shot in my left shoulder and it wasn't half bad pain wise and gave me immediate relief. Would suggest an orthopedic doc if it comes back. Glad the enbril is working for you too!
