Airway Reflux and Rheumatoid Arthrtis

Hello all,
I have been on this LPR and RA journey since April after starting an RA drug called Plaquenil and an NSAID Meloxicam that for some reason set off severe LPR/airway reflux and stirred up underlying asthma into a full blown mess. I am addicted to my nebulizer treatments and no steroid inhalers seem to help. In fact they seem to make matters worse. I came off the RA drugs and it took 4 months, but LPR got better over time with severe diet change and naturopathic remedies and oxidative remedies (PPIs do nothing for my asthma). With so much pain I had to go back on RA meds to just see if they were really the culprits. It took 2 weeks to confirm that yes indeed the pills caused this terrible respiratory issue. I've had sinus dilation in July and it seemed to not do much. Now not being on any RA medication is a dangerous place to be and my doctor desperately wants me on an injectable medication (biologic Enbrel) but I am scared to death because my breathing issues are not yet resolved. I am still on my nebulizer constantly and still trying to kick this relapse of LPR due to medication. I am in a major major bind. If only I could deal with one of these issues at a time, but I have 3 huge ones wrapped into one body. I am scared and out of options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@couchtater I am definitely trying to get all that in place! It's only been 8 months since my breathing has been just out of control so the doctors so far I think want me to try absolutely everything else. I respect that but I'm not sure if they understand how debilitating it really is to have the breathing issues and RA! It's like life is just plain difficult. Period. So I'm planning to go to a great pulmonary hospital to get opinions from those who deal with this stuff all the time. I'm so happy to hear Nissen helped!!!! There's hope!!!!
