Humira

I have been using the humira pen for a little over 2 years and haven't had any problems. I do have some sting pain when giving myself a shot but goes away in a little time.
I am planning to fly to Florida from Iowa and takes a little over 5 hours to get there and wonder when putting the humira pen in the little cooler that was provided will last?

Run this by your DR but mine said most people can tolerate skipping a dose or taking a dose a few days early. He said he would do what ever he could to avoid dealing taking it on vacation with him, even if he was driving.

I've never completely skipped a dose while traveling but have pushed mine a few days and have taken it a couple of days early. Each time however was when I was going to be with out power backpacking and fishing.

I have been using Humira for about 4 months. I can't say that I really have any relief. I was wondering if any of you could give me some hope as to how soon I can expect to be feeling better. I'm off methotrexate but still on plaquinel until I run out. I don't think my pain is managed as well as it should be and I have more flare-ups then I'd like. I take a shot every two weeks.

Humaria worked great for me right off the bat, like I literally had relief hours after my first injection. That said after about 3 months it seemed to stop working and I had my worse flare up I ever had. Dr had me double dose Humeria for a week and prednisone to get it under control and then switched me to Enbrel which I have been on since july and seems to be working well.

Hope it either starts working ( I know my DR said it could take several months) or he is able to get you on something that works.
