Starting Remicade for the first time...

Hello, I have RA and am on MTX, 5mg Prednisone and folic acid. I'm starting my first infusion of Remicade in a week. Does anyone mind sharing your experience with Remicade? Including what to expect during the infusion, can I go to work the day of the infusion etc. I'm a little nervous about this medicine!

My Doctor has suggested infusions as well if my increase of MTX does not help to lessen my disease activity so I too am interested in this subject as well. Mine has suggested Rituxin.

Alice, were you on any biologics before moving to Remicade? If so did they help?

I have been on Remicade for a year now and as far as disease progression it has done wonders. I have been developing masses since starting the drug and currently have one under both arms and one in my throat which they continue to push off on the meds or RA. I have been researching everywhere to see if there is a link to it but cannot come up with anything.
