Been denied

Boy was this a disappointment.  Then again, knowing the system and how unfair it is...I'm not surprised.

Guess I have to appeal.  I just hope I can physically do it.  They say I can do it online.  I hope I get a hearing.

Basically because I'm not blind...I'm OK.

So there is this career out there somewhere where I can do from in my bed, for a few minutes a day when I'm able and earn a living & be insured??  Is this true??  If they can find that, I'll take it.  But I'm pretty sure that was made ILLEGAL a long time ago.  Ok, I have some humor...I must not be that depressed right now.

I know I'm not the only one that's been through this and that's what's getting me through right now.  So there will have to be a third time around.

I hate this and I really hate my body.

It's so much easier to be normal.

Oh geez, Erin!!! What is going on with those people! Get a lawyer...forget the appeal - get someone to do it for you! There are a ton of places you can find online.

I sent my 1st appeal at the beginning of the month and haven't heard a peep yet.....

My prayers are with you...I hope you get the support and help you need....I'm floored you did not get it this time around with all that you have been going through and diagnosed with since your last application!

Thanks Oreo, you're great.  You guys I feel have helped me most to get through that ordeal.

The appeal is being sent in the mail.  I should get it next week.  I know that there are lawyers who take no payment unless you get your claim settled.  I have to think about it.  I most likely will end up getting a lawyer...(perhaps it's time to call some peeps who owe me favors!)

Money is a major issue.  I was getting by OK for a while...but today, forget it...the Dr and transportation and meds set me back.  I want one of those pro bono lawyers!

I've seen on the internet that there are some out there that won't take a dime unless you win, then they take a percentage of your retro check. So, I would guess if they feel you don't have a chance - they won't take you in.....HOwever, erin, I can't imagine with your list of issues that they would even consider denying taking your case.

thank you for your suggestion on the ss lawyer.  so far, i am going to fill out the appeal and new medical info (it really looks as if they just looked at JUNE! for all of my medical info!)  all the dates they refferred to were in June...what the heck?  yeah, and what about the rest of the past 5 years?????????    don't get it!

i'm going to talk with a good friend of mine who is in the life insurance business...he knows a lot about this stuff.

and if i need a lawyer & feel things are really not right, i will get one.

i just feel very discriminated against, every time they say...oh, your age/education/job training....blah blah BLEH!

Nope, I won't give up.  This is my body and well being I'm fighting for.  Heck...I paid into  the system for over a decade....I did my best all these years while sick, and just can't do no more...at least not now.  I want nothing more than to be better in the future.

Am going to talk with some people this week when I see my appeal package & read it over.

I need to call on my claim and make sure it didn't get dropped. My PCP didn't want to send in info wanting it to come from the Rhuemy, not her.  I finally got her to understand last week that both of them need to assist in my claim and she SAID she'd fax the stuff that day, but if she didn't for some reason, SDI said they were going to drop my claim if they didn't get her info by the 9th.

this state is overwhelmed with cases so they have to farm them out to a out of state ALJ and i had to have a hearing by teleprompter. i got an atty after my 2 denial. they took the case and said we get max allowable by law 5300 from your case should you win it.

they wouldnt have taken it if i didnt have a good case.

i applied june 03, got the hearing jan 3 this year, got approved finally. they owe me 34 months pay back since they figured out i bacame disabled on the date of my crash 9- 02'

now i went to a rhuemy who says i got psoratic arthtirs and it is in the entire spine with end plate scerlrosis with each vertrebre, my docthinks i have AS

this is a very painful condition and it is crippling

i have yet to find any real pain relief except for glousamine chrondrotin with msm and norco.

my rhuemy did a complete blood panel and now lookingfor hla b 27

my brother has this also.

not a happy person right now. and really dont want to hear that i have AS either. anyone know how long for the disease takes to end stage for AK to envelope the spine?
