Starting Cimza

Starting the loading dose (2 injections) tonight. I’m a little nervous. I’ve tried Entyvio and Remicade before, so I’m assuming it will be similar in terms of tolerance? Can anyone tell me what I might expect to feel like after my first dose? Or, should I look out for any reaction in particular?

Also, how quick did it work for you? My doc has me taking two injections for 2 weeks, then one shot for 2 weeks. She said it might not work until a couple of doses.

Is this considered the big guns, in terms of arthritis treatment? I know, based on my Ulcerative colitis, going to the biological was a bigger step. I’m a little nervous.

Other than being sore in the morning, I feel a lot better. I didn't expect it to work that quick. I also wasn't sure my symptoms were bad enough (given my history with UC, I always tend to underestimate the amount of pain I'm in), but I was wrong - it has made a significant difference. No side effects that I know of, or am feeling, as of yet. Fingers crossed it continues to work.

Do you mind me asking why you stopped taking Humira (or Enbril)?
