Hello! I am 43 yrs old and have had pain in my wrists for many years and in my fingers for the last 2 years or so. Last Summer, my hips started hurting so badly that I could barely walk. The year before that, my knees began to hurt. I've been told that "this is just aging" by my PCP. After encouragement from my sister, who was diagnosed with RA about 4 years ago, I asked for blood work to rule it in or out for myself. In November, 2022, I had positive RH factor, and elevated CRP and SR. In March 2023, positive RH factor, elevated CRP, high normal range SR. CCP negative (16units) both tests. All symptoms point to RA but doc won't diagnose it. She started me on Plaquenil to see if it helps with the pain, but so far, I have seen no change. (granted, it has only been 2 weeks). Can anyone shed light on this? Give me some ideas or even another direction to look in? Have you experienced anything similar? I just want to know why I am in pain. Why does it wake me out of a dead sleep or come and go? I'm so tired and I just want to know what is going on!
