hey bloo,
when we get bad inflammation of the joints, they do produce heat the majority of the times...so yeah, you are correct.
can you put wrapped ice packs on the affected joints? last summer my shoulders were so inflammed not even prednisone shots took it away...BUT ICE PACKS HELPED IMMENSELY. 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off is rule of thumb. keep the skin covered with a facecloth or wrap the ice back in a towel or something.
the ice is very beneficial.
you could be going through a flare too you know. if you were doing ok and suddenly got worse....sounds like a flare up. the allergies in the air when everything starts to bloom can trigger more inflammation too. so there's a few factors workin' against ya!
are you able to acquire an air conditioning unit? even a window one is now relatively inexpensive...less than $100 (but heck, i don't have 100 bucks now!). fans i love...takes a while to cool down though.
how are you doing today?
take care,
erin
