I'll be joining many of you at SSDI hell soon. I just received notification that I can work "transitional" duties until July 1, then I can no longer do my full duties, so I'm done at my job. What a *****! I'm going to apply for my employees short term disability as soon as I can and have everything ready to apply for SSDI as close to July 1 as I can. Can I qualify for SSDI while receiving STD?? It could be worse, as technically I don't qualify for transitional duties so they could have said I'm done immediately, but they gave me the 45 days to receive my paycheck. Now if I can talk them into letting me work Sundays and holidays for the rest of my time so I can receive time and 1/2 for those days, that would be great! Now, I hope my doctor supports me, and then also accepts medicaid, and all the other problems associated with this mess....
