chills

 hi everyone,

     i was wondering if anyone else gets cold chills, i mainly get them at night i won't even be cold then all of a sudden i start getting chills like i have a fever, and fell like you would when coming down with flu or something, it comes on so quick and usally is gone by morning. could it be the mthx. kicking in full force? appreciate your response.

I get chills alot. When I started taking my temps when I felt a chill coming on, I usually had (have) a fever. It may be low-grade (between 100 and 101), but it counts as a fever nonetheless. Mtx can lower your resistance to all kinds of little viruses; perhaps you've picked up a bug somewhere? If the chills don't go away, I would let your doctor know about it. I don't think mtx causes the chills, but you can catch all kinds of things on it, as it is an immunosuppressant drug.

Marion...I remember havingchills when I first started on the MTX and then they went away. I thought it maight have been because I had so much unflamation that i felt hot all the time and then the inflamation started decreasing and the fever went down as I responded to the MTX. hope you feel better.

I get them and I am often always really really cold, but my tempertaure is only around 97.1.  So I have a low body tempertaure.  Have you ever taken your temperature?  I don't take mtx, so I don't know about that, and I am not taking any meds for my arthritis right now.  When I flare, I am often chilled.

Have you gotten the chills lately? Is it cold where you are? Or rainy?
