shake and bake.....

I would talk to your Rheumy about it. I use my Rheumy for anything that I think might be RA or medication related. Prednisone has made me feel wired and I think 15 mgs was enough to do it. I do remember a little hand tremor on the higher doses. Everyone is different. Did you have this before the prednisone? I did not have any side effects from the MTX and I am on a higher dose. That does not mean anything to you though because everybody is different. It is helpful to get support and feedback on the forum but it is not diagnostic and only your doctor can do that. I remember when I first heard I had RA and I read all the data on the internet and scared myself to death. One site said that having RA took 10 to 20 years off your life span. Some of us would be dead already! Things are no where as bad as the doomsayers. I had worried about MS and Parkinsons and this and that but thank goodness none of it was true, just free floating anxiety. It is important to stay mentally healthy and think positive. It is hard to do when you are first diagnosed or have a bad flare. Sress is not good for anyone. I was sick for the last month and felt terrible. That is where the support on the forum pulled me through and gave me a few chuckles and a more positive outlook. I hope you are feeling better sending you some healing vibes}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

"Shake n' Bake"!!! awe...well my 1st advise to you is: don't perform any surgeries on anybody, LOL.  and umh....watch out when you shave.

 

i got the tremors in my hands, arms & also legs (thighs mostly) when i was on Prednisone (and still do when i take it) it doesn't take much...i remember beingon 10mg and it still happened.

when i was in the hospital & was getting IV steroids....wow, when i came home my whole body was nonstop shaking....was so bad i called the doc! but he assured me i was from the steroids.

 

i don't know what meds you have...but when i take Pred now, i always have a Valium or Xanax chaser.  it just helps with the rapid heartbeat & trembles.

 

but i do hear ya...it was mostly when i would go to grip a cup....or use a fork or something. that's when i first noticed it.

zeekman......How are the jitters? I hope they are gone...I'm with Erin no surgery for you! You could get a job in a martini bar............let us know how you do with the presnisone. any relief yet?

Is there something else that can stop a flare and not cause the jitters, rapid heart beat etc. What is AP?
