Fosamax and the phosphate drugs

Has anyone had the bad reactions I have had with Fosamax. Will never take any of the phosphate drugs Boniva, etc. Now they want me to take Reclast which is once a year, what about the side effects and how long you could have them.

Afraid of these drugs and have not heard of anyone having good results from them.

Hey Fluffytwo.. I've not been on any of these meds.. so sorry, but I do hope they find something for you.. let us know how it goes

Still on Prednisone 12mg. but sure are lots of side effects to so many drugs..

I have a friend that called me the other day and told me that her dentist would not pull her teeth because she was on fosamax. It does bad things to your jaw bone. I understand that Fosamax and other bisphosphonates cause osteonecrosis of the jaw. (onj)

It's hard to understand that something to help bones causes bone problems. Hope you find something that is not harmful. The best, Dee
