Does Oa pain suddenly appear???

I've had achilles tendonitis since April. Started suddenly in one foot, then one month later, the other. They have ran blood work, xrays, and now an MRI. So far, OA has shown up. Doctor says this may the reason for the heel pain.

I have OA in knees too and know the pain. This other pain began suddenly and is really driving me nuts. It is relentless and will not let up. I can barely walk and the pain is all the time. Since April????

I am currently waiting on MRI results, but not sure what that will tell them, other than pain. I take Relafin and that is it for pain and inflammation.

Any suggestions?

That sounds like how my arthritis escalated.  Mild to irritating pains in the knees for years, then at age 34 my feet started huring one day and just got worse and worse and spread quickly up and swelled the knees, then moved progressively over a few months to the hips, back, shoulders and elbows - and that is when I finally got to a rheumatologist.  Since the pain was in my feet I started off at a podiatrist.  He tried Prednisone on me and the pain was absolutely gone for the short time I was on the medication.  Prednisone is probably not a good long-term treatment though...

The OA (though I didn't know it at the time) in my ankles started very suddenly, just out of the blue. I had such pain and swelling in my right ankle that I could put no weight on it and it was very swollen and red. Then it progressed to my left ankle, though no nearly as bad. Then it spread around to other areas.

The OA in my spine, well I guess it was gradual and I didn't know it was happening over time..but all of a sudden one day I started getting what I now know are low back spasms. They came & went and once I had a big area of swelling at the base of my spine, with severe spasms. It finally went away after some time....but it progressed so quickly over the next year and 1/2...that I became almost unable to walk. I ended up with severe spinal stenosis from osteophytes (extra bone build-up from the arthritis), plus a spine ligament had thickened and buckled into my canal. And I also had several disk herniations and bulges. I had surgery in '06 for the stenosis, but surgery doesn't cure the arthritis...I now have worsening facet arthritis as well.
