Plurisy is a drag! Are they having you cut back on your meds while you recoup? Hot tea is REALLY good for soothing the lungs/chest. I'm not a tea drinker at all....but, if you can find something you can withstand (or even hot water, with lemon or honey) it does wonders.
Hopefully the crutches will take the weight off you and not give you the same effect limping does. However, I suggest you take it slow when walking and make sure you don't over-do the gripping, shrugging, etc....basically, make sure you don't scrunch, tighten, etc too muc to cause more problems. Last May I fell and instead of crutches, they gave me a cane which was really stupid because I had a sprained RIGHT ankle and a bruised/sprained LEFT knee. But I found that I didn't relax when trying to walk and it actually caused more problems tightening up. I know that's not much help....Good luck.
Ashleigh, I still think you need to get a 2nd opinion. Don't give up to find answers for relief.
