HI - We are new and have no idea what's wrong with my husband. He has severe joint pain that is moving all over his body, it started in his wrist then the elbow then the hips. All tests come back as is nothing wrong - have not been to a reumatologist yet but pain is out of control ! Does anyone know what this could be - any thoughts would be greatly appreciated !!!
Have a great day

Hi Sweetie, be sure your hubby is tested for Lyme disease. Good luck and tell us all how you make out. the Coffeefiend

Welcome to Healing Well, ralbee! I'm sorry your husband is having so many problems with joint pain. I have had my share of joint issues and can totally unbderstand the desire to get a quick diagnosis, There are simply too many diseases that have joint pain as a symptom to take a guess with the limited information you have. Your best bet is to push for that rheumatologist appointment as soon as possible. You said that all the tests have come back fine, Has your husband had any xrays or mRIs? Were those also negative?

Ralbee-
I too am new with all of this.
My joint pain came on over night it seemed like.
I've had bld wk and x-rays. Not sure what the x-rays showed just yet, but all bld wk came back negative. No inflammation either.
My RA said that it's not uncommon for bld wk to come back negative in early stages of RA. Not very comforting.
My pain is in my wrists, every possible joint in my hands, hips, sometimes knees, ankles and sometimes feet. Usually it's both sides at the same time. Not every joint all at once like it was in the beginning though.
My RA wants to do a MRI, however I suffer from anxiety and I'm trying to see if by taking anxiety meds, my symptoms lessen.
Does your husband have pain during sleeping or only waking hours?
Mine is only while I'm awake. It's not all day like at first either. (I started having this pain about 2 months ago.)
I would go see a RA - even if his bld wk came back negative, they could give him something for the pain...not necessarily pain meds either. My RA suggested Celebrex. However, I'm funny about new meds and just take Advil when needed.
Let me know what ya'll decide and the outcome!
