It's our 30th wedding anniversary coming up this year.

Any suggestions for a holiday that is very special, exciting and memorable.

HOnestly, I loved my honeymoon. We went on an Alaskan Cruise early on in the season. The few things I think I would have enjoyed to make it better was if we could have taken the 3 week land/sea tour. And if we weren't just punk kids starting out, we would of had a little more money to enjoy oursleves there...however, because we didn't have the cash to take all the tours we wanted, we did a lot of self walking tours through our ports (back when I wasn't so old and brittle - lol) and saw a lot of beautiful country.

The Alaskan cruise is what we are getting excited about.

So you reckon 3 weeks LOL!!!

Yep, the old bones need to be taken into consideration.

I heard from a couple who did it at the end of the season (Sept) and saw lots of whales.

Yeah, they offered a 3 week land and sea tour, and that sounded like such fun being able to see mainland Alaska. However, I heard from someone they didn't think it was all that great...who knows.

We went early and supposedly had unusually good weather. They said that it often rains a lot late May/early June.

It does get a bit tricky when planning something that costs alot; wanting it to work, especially i for a special occassion.

I guess it really comes down to the attitude I take with me and plan to have fun and laugh no matter what.

I really find the water relaxing and revilalizing. Today I needed a break and a change of thought and scenery. I ended up on a ferry ride to Bundeena. It was a 20 min. trip. When I arrived at the beautiful sandy shore with little waves rippling in I removed my shoes and paddled in the water until the ferry came back an hour later. It made me smile and gave me some "me time" with nature.
