I am 9 weeks into recovery from a total shoulder replacement. Range of motion is excellent. I am still in pain, about the same as prior to the surgery. It would be good for both of us to hear from others who have had total shoulder replacement and ask about level of pain first month after, second month, third month etc. I did not have the "reverse" procedure. I did have substantial glenoid erosion and needed bone replacement to build up the glenoid for success of the surgery.
No do not do it!!!!, I have had mine done since the summer of2007, and it hurts more today than ever. mine fills like it is broken or splitting or even coming out of socket. mmy reversel shoulder replacement was not good at a Please dont do it if you can keep from it. I have lost all interest in every thing in my life, all I do is stay all messed up on the pain pills and sleep. this life sucks so bad, now I have gotten other health problems because of not being able to even walk around or even hardly do just bathing myself and other daily items of life. PLEASE THINK TWICE about IF YOU CAN JUST LIVE WITH THE LITTLE PAIN NOW!!! because the pain i have today is so bad at times I think I am going to either have a stroke or even a nervous break down...think please!!!.
