Hi, I'm new to the board. I have had juvenile RA (now RA), glaucoma and uvitis since I was five years old, so-- for the past 20 years. Recently I've developed something the GI says is ulcerative colitis or Crohn's Disease? I'm wondering if any other RA patients out there have Crohn's? Maybe I should be posting this on the other forum.. in any event, thanks..

Hey lula
I have Crohn's, Ankylosing Spondylitis and uveitis - oh joy.
Im the other way around though I had the CD first then the AS and uveitis - why not have one more auto-immune disease eh!
I saw you posted on the CD forum and got some great advice on there - they are super informative about Crohn's so dont hestitate to ask anything.
The people on the RA forum are also great with advice, so ask away anytime you need support.
Keep posting and let us know how you are going.

Hi Lula,
I have crohns, RA and iritis. I am currently on methotrexate 20mg injections weekly and norspan morphine patch also 20mg. I have had crohns for 21 years and has resulted in an ileostomy earlier this year. I post on the crohns site, ostomy site and just decided to take a look at this site today for any suggestions. Hi Lula,

I don't have Crohn's, but it's one of the few autoimmune diseases I DON'T have! LOL! :)

It's very very common to develop AI diseases in bunches....no one is actually certain as to why that is. If celiac disease is in the mix, then scientists have recently discovered that celiac disease actually can "open the door" for other AI diseases to develop (see www.umm.edu/news/releases/zonulin.htm if interested in how this works).

BTW, it's very common for people with Crohn's to have celiac disease too.

I have Crohn's and also RA. I developed my Ra from my Crohn's.
