Good Moanin' Healing Well V69

At least I think this is thread V69? My apologies if it isn't! My memory is so terrible anymore, I couldn't remember once I started the new one.

It has been so quiet, we are all so busy!!

Jody...I hope you are doing well.  How is the Enbrel, is it working any better?? I know you were still having some pain last time I read your post.  Yes, we did get my son and we found a school of sorts for him to get into, it wasn't easy with him coming at such an odd time, but the program really has been a God send for him and it is really working out all the way around.  At this point, we are just trying to figure out transportation as he is depending on my car to get around, so we are sharing.  So now, I have two boys needing to take turns, one is learning and one is already driving.  But I have to say it is nice to be able to send him on errands Other than that it is just taking time for family members to adjust, it is a change for everyone involved and my daughter is having a difficult adjustment, but it is to be expected.

The weather has turned cold, so winter is here to stay and I think I'm going to stay stiff.  It seems my mobility with walking is more limited than it was last winter at this time, so when I go to the rheumy in December, I will see what he says.

Not much too report, Thanksgiving is getting close and Christmas is right around the corner it seems, and I just can't believe it!! It seems the school year just started.  Where has the time gone?

Jody, Camama, and all the others, I hope you are all healthy and doing well.

Our dogs our wonderful, but I don't care for all of the dog hair that we have to keep on top of almost daily!!!! We have large dogs, so they tend to shed hair everywhere even though we try to bathe them on a frequent basis.

That is wonderful about your new house, and I remember that feeling when we moved into our first new home a few years ago.  It was fun painting all of the rooms and decorating it just the way we wanted, and the kids  finally had their own rooms.  How exciting for your family I know what you mean by spending too much on groceries! Last week I spent $270, and did the same thing, went over the reciept to try and figure out where I over spent and what I could have done without.  This week I did a bit better, but everything is just so expensive, it is difficult going to the grocery store sometimes.

Golitho..oh dear, going on three weeks?? I'm so sorry it must be miserable Can the doctor increase the dosage? or switch to a different method (pill vs patch)? I can imagine that the stress you are under at the moment isn't helping any, but was happy to hear you were able to spend some quality time with friends! Thank you for the warming hugs, they are much appreciated at the moment as winter has set in here for the next few months.

Jody...A baby? How sweet and adorable I'm sure he makes the days very enjoyable! Also, I'm happy to hear that your Enbrel is finally kicking in, what a relief for you! With the holidays just around the corner I bet you are super busy just like we are here! I can't believe that Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away, time is flying by too quickly!

Yes, I'm counting the days until graduation! My daughter is very excited about the upcoming day! I'm not sure if it is the stress of finishing up my degree or what, but I have been having lots of tummy issues, back pain with low grade fever for about a week now, just feeling crummy. I'm hoping it will pass soon so that I don't have to trek to the doctors office, as I hate feeling like a hypochondriac

Anyway, not much news to report.

As for you though...A hysterectomy is a huge deal and it is critical to get your hormones regulated so that you feel well. I would be a woman on a mission as too!! When our hormones are out of whack, we just don't feel good and for most it is a gradual shift, but with a hysterectomy, the shift is too sudden, especially in younger women.  I have an ovary that produces cysts often and when I've gone to the urgent care for treatment. sometimes there is the same nurse there and she always asks why I don't just have my ovaries removed, and I tell her I'm not ready for menopause. I'm really afraid of all that would go into the surgery etc (I'm 38) and so I just stick it out! Best wishes at your appointment on Friday, please let us know how it goes and I hope the doctor will be able to solve what is going on, and help you feel better.

Hope everyone had a great T-day. I got sick 2 days after and am still ill. Had one thing then another, I think...or so it seems....it's has not been a fun few months. You know, Fall is always a rough time for me health-wise and joint-wise, this was no exception! It all started with those awful bug bites I got on my leg in August...I probably should have gone to the doctors to get them checked out. They scared my thigh.
