Has anyone used Rixtuan? Any side effects? How about Procrite? My Hematologist told me that "they" stopped using it because it has led to strokes but I'm wondering if it is a good short term treatment so that I don't have to be on so much prednisone.

All I know is my doctor says it gets a bad rap because most of the risky side effects are only when cancer patients are taking it in high doses. I don't know about short term use- I thought it was a maintenance type DMARD. I consider it "big guns" I will save it for last.
