Hi guys! I finally went to the dr's today about
my bad calf. Don't know If you remember but it's very swollen and hard, has pain in and awful spasms. Dr's not 100% sure it's my arthur or potassium but may be a DVT. I had a d.dimer blood test this morning and If it comes back positive it's a heprin injection and a special scan. Here's hoping it's not a DVT but i'll keep you posted. Go well everyone! X

GOOD NEWS! Dr rang at 'get this' 10:20pm to tell me d.dimer blood test that I had this morning was clear so no DVT and no scan needed
. I'm over the moon so it's looking like it's related to the Arthritis. XXX

Hey Abol you don't have a Bakers cysts do you? My rheumy told me if they burst they can cause similar symptoms to a DVT. Just thought I'd toss that thought in the mix, golitho

Hi Golitho! What's a Bakers cyst? I've had nothing on my calf that represents a cyst but I guess as it can be mistaken for a DVT, is it inside your leg?. . .

Yeah, its behind the knee like a fliud build up that puts pressure on the back of your knee, can be quite uncomfortable. My mtx seems to have controlled mine, swelling has really gone down. But if they burst they run the fluid into your calf and thats why it mirrors a DVT in symptoms, can be really sore I'm told.
It was just a thought, golitho
