ok so i have rheumatoid arthritis. i was diagnosed my 7th grade year. i have gotten 2 tattoos while on humira, prednisone, methotrexate, and folic acid. i havent had any complications with healing. but for my 18th bday i would like a monroe piercing but i am worried of the risks. i was wanting to see if anybody out there can help me with that. has anybody gotten a piercing while on any of these medications? n did u have complications? someone help me plz!

Hi Breshea, just ring your rheumy and ask them? I'd say you'rd be ok as long as you monitor for infection. Make sure you go to a reputable piercing place where everthing is sterile. Just keep an eagle eye on the site for any sign of infection.
I've had surgery on these meds and only had to stop humira before it, just missed one dose, talk to your rheumy. I'm sure they will work out a plan for you, golitho
