Lyrica and Methotrexate?

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here has taken MTX for RA and Lyrica for Fibromyalgia at the same time? I have been on the MTX for about a month with no major side effects yet and I started the Lyrica yesterday. Has anyone here taken both at the same time? Thanks for your input. This year, I have gone from 2 meds up to 7 and I am not too thrilled about it. Oh well, my pharmacist knows my name now.

Hey,

Sorry I can't help you as I've never taken Lyrica. I do have RA (or PsA, not really sure) and Fibromyalgia though, and took MTX for about 12 months. I stopped taking MTX when I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia as I realised much of my pain was as a result of the Fibro and not the arthritis, and felt I didn't need the MTX as I'm currently injecting Enbrel (Etanercept).

I also take Amitriptyline for Fibromyalgia, which seems to help sleep, but little else.
