question about x rays. please respond

Not sure if I belong here or not yet but need some answers.
I have all the symptoms of RA except I have a neg ra factor and my hand xray is normal.
My question is my doctor sent me for hand xrays. The tec who did it told me I can't tell you anything
But I see something in the wrist. Doctor told me xray was normal.
Few days later - ran into the tec at my kids school and she asked me if I got the results yet.
When I told her what the doc said she looked really surprised.
I said to her out of curiousity what did you think she saw. She said she saw arthritis in the wrist.
My question is because the xray was for my hands would the person reading it look at the wrists also or just the hands because it was for the hands. Would he assume we know already bout the wrist. Or is it when they ask for xray of hands it includes the wrist. Please respond with your thoughts or experences. The pain in my wrist has been going on for yrs. The pain in hands feet neck knees etc have only been for bout half a year.
