Hi Vannie, welcome to HW. Great place to chat or rant. Its always hard to get used to a diagnsis like the auto immune ones, such a slap in the face, the tiredness, the pacing oneself all the time, feeling guilty if you overdo it and end up flaring, feeling like going to bed when you need to be somewhere... I could go on and on.
I was diagnosed 4 years ago now and its taken me ages to come to terms with it, but I love my cats so I can relate to the little kitty on the shoulder. Lift up your spirits when you're down, nothing like an animal to come home to.
Infomation is a wonder med in itself, there are some really good sites in the resources section too. I did a 6 week course run by my local hospital on RA, it was so good, all about the disease what it means to you, how you can make the most of your life etc, etc... They reckon information is empowering the patient to make the best choices, it helped my head more than anything.
Welcome anyway. goltiho
