Med. side effects ? ...

i'm wondering who has had any side effects , either skin reactions, labwork abnormalities showing early Leukemia or Lymphoma causing them to have to stop taking ur RA meds. ? And or start a different med. ? How good are these docs. at paying close attention to signs of leukemia ?


I still consider myself new at managing my RA.(4 years) And I won't leave it completely in the hands of my doc., who does'nt have RA in his hands...
Dealing w/other health conundrums has split my attention from RA to these of
the last few years.


I was made fully aware of the possible serious side effects of these meds. back
when I was dx'd. At that time the pain was so bad sometimes that I'd wake up in the middle of the night( 3aam) with screaming hand pain so bad that I thought if only I had a knife sharp enough....

Back then I looked at some of the cancer conditions that could result and i kind of had the attitude "oh, that won't happen to me" or "i probably won't live long enough to have it happen".

Thank God, so far , thats not an issue for me. Am wondering too, if ur doc. has suggested reducing dosage and/or coming off of some meds., at some point, even if just
for a "medication vacation" kind of thing.

Hi Yes i have had with Humira had bloods showing all signs of lymphoma Dr did a test specifically for Lymphoma markers it was Negative,but still had other signs so had endoscopy & colonoscopy looking for Bowel Cancer etc the look was clear waiting on Biopsy's. i am concerned at taking the next Biologic Cimzia Rhumy seems ok with it ,but as you say they don't have the RA do they.restarted the Metheltrexate on monday and by tuesday Neausa feel Crap,  wants me to take the Cimzia and Metheltrexate
