I had the durolane injection into my left knee this morning. I had a partial menisectomy last December followed by physiotherapy. Although better than before the op I was still having problems with it (not being able to stand for long, couldn't run steps difficult, inability to bend etc).
All I can say is that I agree with you 100% - it was agony and knocked me sick too. My knee is so sore and feels worse than before it was injected. I just hope that in a couple of days it settles down. I drove home afterwards and had to physically lift my leg onto the clutch.
I had to walk down 2 very long corridors after the injection - in a lift (or steps I don't think so!) through the huge car park to the car. Had I known it would be this bad I would have got a lift there. I intended to go back to work but couldn't. Am at home now feeling quite weepy and sorry for myself which is so not like me.
No offer of painkillers or a local anaesthetic. In fact before the injection the physiotherapist withdrew some fluid away from my knee as it was so swollen!
Now I have had 5 operations in the last 3 years and this has been by far worse.
Please let me know how you get on with your recovery.
