Hi,
Just need to vent. I have been suffering from sacroiliitis since I was in my early 20s. I'm now 38 and the issue is only getting worse. I have a desk job and although I make sure to stand up a lot, I still have constant back pain. If I sit too long at once, then I have a flare up (which is an issue if in meetings, driving, etc). I've always been quite active and really enjoy exercising, but everytime I do, I cause a flare up. And now I cannot even go for a walk. Yesterday I went for a 20 min walk at lunch, moderate pace, and felt it in my SI joints. And my back was really sore the rest of the day. When lying down at night to go watch tv before bed, I felt everything tighten up and I started getting the shooting pain again down my bottom (i.e. flare up mode). And all I did was go for a walk! Another example...last weekend we had chores to do and so was at the mall for a couple hours. I was in incredible pain afterwards / during from teh walking. It's like I can't win...sit, I'm in pain. Walk I'm in pain. Lie down I'm in pain.
It is so frustrating how limited I am. I am a mother of 2 kids. I cannot do physical things with them and it's also an issue as I still need to lift my 2 year old (and my husband will be travelling with his work and working late so I have no choice as he's not around).
I have been avoiding but did finally book a physio appointment for monday (started with assessment). I went but had to walk out before they took me as they were 45 min late and I had to leave to pick up my kids. I wanted to cry as I'm so desperate for help.
Anyone else the same? So frustated, in pain and things getting worse???
