Hi Normal, wow I am so sad to hear of your grief. I have a few ideas, as most medication manages symptoms and none address the root of the illness. Have you tried eliminating gluten from your diet? You could be reactive to gluten, it's basically Celiac Disease, sans the official diagnosis. You'll miss breads and pasta, but you'll feel better and I imagine you miss being healthy more than you'll long for carbs. You'll need to be sure ELIMINATE gluten, not just decrease it. Try it for a week, it just may clear up any autoimmune disease you have.
You may want to try taking a supplement of Aloe Ferox. Be sure it is Ferox (or "Cape") aloe, I suggest taking the capsules of powdered ferox because the actual ferox is extremely bitter. It will help regulate your IBS and as an added plus will repair the mucous lining of your intestines. It's inexpensive (about $6 at Walgreen's for a 2 month supply) and is a natural organic remedy.
If you are sensitive to gluten, consuming even a small amount of it will send your body's immune system into psychotic overdrive, and it will manifest in very visible (psoriasis) and very painful (arthritis flares, IBS, etc) ways. You may feel worse (foggy headed, lethargic) for the intial 48 or so hours, hence the week long trial period. You won't feel anything from your once daily ferox pill...except relief.
I did both of these simultaneously about 1 month ago, and after 5 days I felt like I had inherited someone else's body...someone who was healthy. This is after taking Diclofenac, Mobix, Celebrex, and Predisone for RA. After using increasingly stronger topical steroids for psoriasis. After taking rx's ranging from Asacol to Xanax for IBD. I can't even begin to explain what it's like to truly feel good, to wake up feeling happy and well-rested. I can't believe I survived for so long, adjusting to each new symptom and spending 10's of thousands of dollars on doctors, presciptions, and hospitalizations. I am LIVING now, not just surviving. I hope it can work for you, I want to give you a big hug and tell you everything will be okay, but the best I can do is give you my personal recipe for success. Please please try it out, if it doesn't work it won't hurt you, and if it does you get your life back. You deserve to feel good, I hope you do soon.
