o.k. now I'm getting really scared.   I had a chest CT last week and today the rheumy said it showed nodules on my lung.  The radiologist thinks it's sarcoid.

Been having trouble breathing.   Just been reading about sarcoid and am really scared.  Have an apt. with my primary doctor Thursday (he's also a pulmonary specialist.  Rheumy said he'll probably want to do a broncoscopy and biopsy.

Im petrified of anesthesia too.     So depressed.

Hi Alicat if it's not one thing it's another isnt it, My Hubby was Diagnosed with sarcoidosis befor we met aprox 20yrs ago he said he was quite ill and they did a biopsy of lung to diagnose and treated him with massive doses of antibiotics and it cleared up and since weve been together 18yrs he's not had any further problems aparently it can go into remission, so you never know . are they indicating what may have caused it? keep chin up yeah- like that will help you your scared, well i guess all i can say is you know everyone here sends their Best and it may be just a nodual that can be removed if not its day by day try not to panic

The rheumatologist think it's related to the arthritis.  I have a couisin who has it  and has had eye and lung problems and now has problems with her kidneys.  It can affect any organ in the body from what I've read.  Did your husband have arthritis orany immine system disease when he got it?  Just like the arthritis, they don't rally know what causes it.  There's an excellent article about it on the Mayo Clinic website www.mayoclinic.com.   I should know more tomorrow after I see my primary doctor,   I'll let you know and thank's for the support
