Dx: Hypertrophic degenerative changes of the mid and lower thoracic spine

I recently had a chest x-ray as part of a screening for Vietnam vets who were exposed to Agent Orange.  One result was that I received a letter today from the Veterans Evaluation Service (contracted by the VA to conduct screenings) telling me they'd discovered the abnormality described in the subject line.

I've known for decades that I had some very minor arthritis, mostly in my toes and, to a lesser degree, my fingers.  I have zero pain in my spine, and walk two or more miles daily.  At 76, is there any point in worrying about this diagnosis out of the blue? 

If your spine is not giving you any problems then you
don't have to worry about this as this is just normal aging, if
this had showed up when you were younger it could be
a problem. I'm glad the VA is getting it's military personnel
screened. Many well wishes to you and I hope you had no
exposure to agent orange.
