My pain is gettig worse in my knees and back and hands. I can hardly walk sometimes. Orthopedic Dr will not give pain medicine, he does not believe in it, i told him i do not believe in pain!

Hi, Carolina,
I guess you have RA or OA or both??? My ortho gives me pain meds. I never heard of an ortho who didn't give pain meds. After all, they have a lot of surgery patients. I also get orthovisc shots in my knees that help a lot. I think you need a different ortho, sweetie. Do you have an RD? If no luck there, you may need to see a Pain Management doc. No reason for you to be suffering. That is just nuts!

You need to find another Ortho doctor, one that will listen to you...
Also, look into going to an Rheumatologist Doctor and getting checked for
Arthritis... Hope your doing better soon, keep us posted as we do care...
and I agree with Vannie there is never a reason for you to suffer...

Yes, please get another opinion and find another doctor. As I told another poster in another post, nobody deserves to be in pain, ever. Not all doctors are like the one you are seeing.

Please remember what works for one individual does not work for others. Before attempting the above mentioned Boron and ginger treatment, please consult with your healthcare provider.

My rhuemy gives pain meds. My GP writes the script
for my pain meds.
It really does sound like you need a different doctor if your ortho just blanket refuses to give pain meds to patients-he just shouldn't have any patients that have pain.
