I am on Humira and wondering if anyone taking the TNF blockers uses probiotics and are they safe if you have a lowered immune system?

To better ease your mind on this, maybe call your RA doctor
and ask him/her if you can take probiotics...I had to go off
the mtx while on an antibotic...I didn't tolerate the probiotics
well, when I was taking the antibotic...but since your on Humira this would
be a very good time to call and ask your doctor...now if your on an antibotic then I think
your supposed to skip the humira until your better...
Hope this info can help...many many well wishes to you...
Maybe just see about
supplementing with just plain vitamin C...but call your doctor...

Many people on the Uc forum take probiotics and TNF's. Probiotics just replace gut flora and has nothing to do with the immune suppressing action of a TNF.
