Hi De La Rosa, sorry to hear you're feeling so low. Fatigue is unfortunately hand in hand with RA. But I have to say that it does go with prednsione, I have been trying to wind down my prednisone intake and the fatigue returned as soon as I dropped my dosage. But strangely having upped my fish oil intake, my fatigue isn't quite as bad.
I am taking 6 capsules per day, 3 at breakfast and 3 with dinner. I have noticed a marked improvement in my overall energy. Don't get me wrong I still need my occassional nana naps but I do feel I have a bit more vim.
Worth a try anyway.
Depression seems to hover with us when it all gets too much. Talk to a psychologist, that mind-body meditation can help too. Trying to take a day at a time or sometimes an hour at a time can help as well. Setting realistic goals, like 10 minutes of exercise per day and increasing by 2 minute increments can help. Bike riding on the flat or walking on the flat are good ways to start.
My psychologist told me to look up(not down at your feet) and out at the world, enjoy the sun on your skin or that cup of coffee. Basically try to enjoy the moment.
They are simple things but they each seemed to help me. I think all of us go through these low spells, its a very hard disease to deal with day in day out. Remember you are NOT Alone! We are all hear to listen to you, come rant with us and let all your worries and fears out. BIG HUGS, golitho
